Learn and Howl with Doug Smith!”
Experience Wolf Park’s iconic Howl Night program and learn from renowned wolf biologist Dr. Doug Smith! For one weekend only, Doug Smith will be joining the programs at Wolf Park to regale guests about his work with Yellowstone National Park wolves and how his introduction to wolves as a Wolf Park intern helped shape his career.
The “opener” for Dr. Doug Smith will be our wolf ambassadors and Wolf Park staff to showcase the natural abilities of wolves, including their trademark behavior, the howl. Guests will be encouraged to howl along to encourage our wolves to serenade the park.
Refreshments will be offered for sale.
Schedule
First 30 Minutes: Walking Path Open (Optional)
Next 45 Minutes: Howl Program
Final 20 Minutes: Dr. Doug Smith
Cameras are welcome, but no flash photography, please, as it can startle or upset the wolves. Generally, the wolves come right up to the fence and can be seen clearly.
