“Cultivating Self Compassion: A discipline that leads to more wholehearted living” with Rebecca Lile

May 21-22, 2022

$295

Do you speak more compassionately to others than you do yourself?

Are you kinder to others than you are to yourself?

Are you often trapped in shame and negative beliefs about yourself?

This hands-on interactive workshop will explore how compassion can be cultivated and nurtured in such a way that it strengthens how we can live more fully in this world.

Research has shown the enormous benefits of treating yourself with compassion and extending the same love and care to yourself as you would show a good friend. If you want to discover how self compassion can lead to a richer way of living , give yourself the gift of this workshop. In this workshop you will: uncover the seeds of self compassion,  discover  ways to nurture and care for yourself, and unleash more confidence and less judgment in your life.

Cultivating self compassion is a practice. You can develop the skills, strengths and emotional resilience to practice self compassion and more. Through teachings, exercises, and journaling, you will learn how to be a great friend to yourself!

Some of the topics we will cover:

  • The concept and components of self compassion, what it is and what it is not
  • The benefits of self compassion
  • Exploring the quintessential question:  What do I need right now?
  • Mindfulness as the foundation of self compassion
  • Self compassion practices
  • Self compassion and our bodies
  • Self compassion and our relationships

Rebecca Lile is the founder of Stretch and Soar Life Coaching in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She received her M.A. in counseling from the University of Kentucky, received the Lilly Scholarship at Candler School of Theology/Emory where she studied and was later consecrated as a diaconal minister, and her professional life coach certification from the Christian Coach Institute of Charlotte, NC. Rebecca works with women of all ages and stages who are struggling with dissatisfaction, transitions or changes in their lives and are wanting more out of life: more passion, more direction, more purpose, more abundance.  Her personal experience as a woman who has navigated many of the stages of womanhood, coupled with my professional training as a counselor, minister, and coach allows her to encourage and inspire women to stretch and soar into a life they love. Rebecca lives in the Smoky Mountains with her husband and two dogs and enjoys hiking, dog training, reading, and traveling. She recently published her first children’s book.

In 2021, her “From Fear to Freedom” workshops at Wolf Park sold out and received high reviews:

“I loved every part! The wolves were incredible and the workshop itself was more informative than my 10 years in therapy.”

“I enjoyed everything. Truly. From the initial outreach to the content, the facilitator, the staff, and the participants. Bravo! I’m a big fan.”

“Observing the group become more open and able to voice their fears in public [was my favorite part]. There was a lot of concern and compassion shown by Rebecca and by the participants.”

“The whole weekend was exceptional. I would like to be able to have opportunities like this 2-3x a year.”
