Wolf Park Art Expo

October 31, 2015
1:00 – 4:00 pm

Wolf Park will be supporting local artists and our community by hosting our First Annual Art Expo in October 2015! We are looking for local artists to come out for the day and display and sell their artwork.  Our goal is to offer a unique setting for artists to display their work, directly to people who love wolves, wildlife, and nature!

The event will include activities and games for kids. Plans also include a wine tasting event if possible, and we will also have a painting demonstration by one of our resident wolves!

Regular admission will be charged for visitors.  Displaying artists and their families will be admitted at no cost.  Doors will open at 1 and we will remain open until 4 pm.

We would like for artists to have work that includes wolves, foxes, coyotes, and bison or nature (in general). We are looking for artists who work with the following mediums: paint, glass blowing, ceramics, jewelry, drawing, wood, or any other medium that might represent nature!

The Park will open to artists for set up at 10 am on the day of the event. Artworks will be displayed indoors in our Wright Center, and tables and chairs will be provided.  We have room for 20-30 artists to participate in this event. Tear down will begin at 4:30 pm.

If you are interested in being a part of this great event at Wolf Park, please contact Chris Linder at 765-464-4003 or email: (chris@wolfpark.org). Each table costs $20, with a maximum of two tables.  Click here to register for a table.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Wolf Park!

Is there electrical service to the tables?
We hope to have all tables served by standard electrical outlets.  Please bring your own power strip or extension cord if you have more than one appliance to plug in.
I am unable to attend.  May I mail in my art?
Yes!  Wolf Park will accept and display art received before September 30.  Please include a method for payment of return shipping if you would like unsold art returned to you.  Art may be shipped to: Wolf Park, 4004 E 800 N, Battle Ground, IN, 47920.
May I sell my art at the Expo?
Of course!  You are welcome to sell art yourself.  Wifi will be available for those who have devices to take credit cards.  You are also welcome to simply display your art — you don’t have to sell anything if you don’t want to.
Will I need to charge sales tax?
Yes, you will need to charge and report 7% Indiana sales tax if you sell your art at the Expo.  To collect and file Indiana sales tax you must register your business to pay sales tax in Indiana.  The application fee is $25.  You will be issued an Indiana Registered Retail Merchant Certificate which allows you to charge sales tax in Indiana.  If you choose to sell art at the Expo, you will need to show a copy of this certificate.  If you choose to donate 100% of your earnings to Wolf Park, the payments count as donations to Wolf Park and no sales tax need be charged.
May I donate proceeds from my art to Wolf Park?
Yes!  You may choose to donate a percentage of sales or all your proceeds.  If you donate 100% of your proceeds to Wolf Park, Wolf Park will handle the sales of your art and send you a receipt for your sales which you can use for your taxes.
Can Wolf Park sell my art for me?
If you choose to donate 100% of your profits to Wolf Park, we will be happy to handle sales of your art.  Otherwise, we suggest managing your own art sales on-site (Square and PayPal have excellent on-site payment options).  If you are unable to attend personally, you can send an agent in your stead to sell your art for you.
