Assistant Animal Curator
Brian completed his M.S. in Biological Sciences at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Brian has a strong background in research, including work under Dr. L. David Mech that involved the capture, collaring and telemetry tracking of wolf populations in Minnesota. He also led a study on free-roaming domestic cat populations and assisted with estimating raptor populations in Lincoln. He has grant writing experience and has presented at major conferences.
As Assistant Curator, Gaston looks forward to building relationships with the Wolf Park wolves and educating the public on the role that wolves and our other animals play in ecosystems.
